Putting tack strip on the sides and bottom. This was probably not the easiest way to do it. I think vacuum bagging would be easier and maybe better too.

IMG_0133.jpg The landing skids are not standard, nor is the bottom tack strip. I got the wild hair to shape them so they wouldn't get knocked off, and here in the larger images you can see what sort of shape I used. It's all tapered every direction, and then the tack strip is too.
IMG_0134.jpg Pre-screw the strips so they're ready to stick in. The screws are just put in flush so when you screw them into the foam they don't tear a bigger hole in the foam. you need every bit of help you can get.
IMG_0135.jpg At this point I don't remember if we started on the back or the front. It was Marquis, Bill and me doing this, and there were no spare hands during the process.
IMG_0136.jpg The parts the string cuts into are hot wired off anyway. There is no destruction of material that is used in the craft.
