| The dark area is where I made too much epoxy on the last step while
gluing it on, and so I used it by waterproofing the back part of the deck a
bit.

| This is the cheaper way to trim your deck. It's a lot of work. It
took me maybe a half hour to do this side of the craft, and it was a hot
day and I was not happy at the end.

| Then I remembered I had a router. I had, earlier, bought a router in
case I could use it on my hovercraft. Hadn't come up with a way yet, but
the second half came out very nice, with a rounded edge and everything. I
went over the previous side too, to round that off. Total time about 10
minutes, not including getting the router set up. Much better attitude
too.
|
| In fact I was so happy with the router I went out and grabbed another
toy as soon as I conceived the need for it.
|
| Here I'm fitting a bit of blue foam into the gap between the hull foam
and the rear edge. I keep second guessing this, foam was easy but I might
wish I used wood later. The rear pole for the wing is going to press right
on the upper corner of the wood tack strip here.
