I had an idea for mounting the engine differently, and took a bunch of pictures
so i could plan the mounts. I was going to mount from the wooden spars across
the top, one which the prop shaft mounts to. There are pairs of bolt holes
going in to the side of the engine, one on top of the crank split and one on
the bottom. I was going to use those to mount the engine, and come up with
tubes to bolt to the wood, and then have a couple diagonals to prevent the
wrong kinds of twisting. It turns out that the body would have too much
twisting force on it, it seems.
I left these pictures on the site in hopes somebody could get ideas for cooling
or whatever else based on this, or just where the holes are on a 583 Rotax. As
a point of fact for the cooling, the copper tubes seem to work
wonderfully. The only thing I would change is in the top picture, one
flex tube has a bit of an indent. I would try to fix that somehow.

| Here you can see one of those hole pairs. This one is on the right
side of the craft, near the back.
